About Mayflower
Mayflower ADU is an independent advisory service led by Mike Burke that helps Massachusetts homeowners plan, evaluate, permit, and build accessory dwelling units. We come from a real estate development, finance, and owner’s rep background, not general contracting, so our only job is to look out for you, not to sell you construction work. We translate zoning rules and construction details into clear options, realistic budgets, and a step-by-step plan you can follow with confidence. Our work is billed on a fixed-fee basis for each phase, so you know the total cost before we begin.
Our Services
Feasibility & Site Review
We look at your specific property and local rules to see whether an ADU is realistic on your lot. You get 1–2 viable concepts, key constraints in plain English, and a clear “worth it / not worth it” recommendation.
Design & Permit Coordination
We coordinate the surveyor, designer, and engineers, and make sure your plans match what the town will actually approve. Then we manage the permit submissions and responses so you’re not chasing paperwork or departments.
Builder Selection & Owner’s Representation
We help you compare contractor bids, choose the right builder, and keep an eye on budget and scope. During construction, we stay in your corner for key questions, change orders, and major decisions so the project stays on track.
